Seraph at the Beach

A Seraphim just chilling at the beach.
The difference between the beginning sketch and the final rendering is night and day. Not just because the canvas is flipped, haha, but the face is different and more sharp.
While I did the line art and coloring, I kept peeking at the way Dave Stewart, the colorist of the Hellboy comics, on how he colored. Simple and blocky colors that interested me, since I go overboard with coloring and I need to simplify my art more and by GOD - so many damn layers!
I have to say that I am getting better, especially with the decreased layers and less business in the art, which would be good with creating comics.
Check out Dave Stewart and his coloring as he is my inspiration.
